7th September 2018

11:40pm - Departure from Kuala Lumpur

Untuk pengetahuan, trip kali ni of cos with the usual suspects iaitu suami, anak, adik, kakak dan abang ipar Fara. Since kami pelanggan setia Air Asia, maka kami pilih Asia Asia X untuk ke Auckland. Pada yang tak tau, untuk ke New Zealand, Air Asia X memang akan transit di Goldcoast International Airport roughly selama sejam. Dari KLIA2 ke Gold Coast makan masa selama 8 jam, transit di sana sejam then terus ke Auckland selama 3 jam...Overall, 12 jam = separuh hari jugak perjalanan ke sana..lama kan?? But we survived...fiuhh!

Di Goldcoast International Airport , korang akan turun pesawat dan diarahkan untuk go thru imigresen Australia check hand luggage and all dan lepas tu beratur semula ke kapal terbang yang sama. Make sure dalam hand luggage jangan bawa makanantau sebab time tu ternampak instant Brahims dibuang dekat situ jugak...rugi kannn...Boleh nak bawa tapi masukkan siap-siap dalam cargo yaaa..!

8th September 2018

04:10pm - Arrived in Auckland

06:10pm - Take our car rental

07:10pm - Drive to our Airbnb apartment in Auckland Central Business District

08:10pm - Check in our apartment, have dinner and rest.

When arrive in Auckland, it will take you 2 hours to pass the immigration and customs. If you are bringing in any food, please do make sure to declare them. If they find any foods that you did not declare, they will right away slaps you with a summons. They have an x-ray machine after customs declaration and every luggage have to go thru it.

· 10:00pm - Rest at campsite Evans Bay Marina Car Park

When you are driving from Huka Falls to Wellington, you will drive thru Desert Scenic Road. It is a beautiful scenic drive. You will see Mount Ngauruhoe and Mount Ruapehu.

12th September 2018

· 02:00am - Drive to Interislander ferry terminal

· 02:30am - Check in Interislander ferry terminal

· 03:30am - Take Interislander ferry to Picton

· 07:00am - Arrive in Picton and continue to drive to
Anatoki Salmon

· 11:00am - Anatoki Salmon

· 03:00pm - Drive to Wharariki Beach

· 04:30pm - Wharariki Beach

· 08:00pm - Drive back to Anatoki Salmon

· 09:30pm - Camp at parking of Anatoki Salmon

If korang ada banyak masa, ambil feri pada waktu pagi atau petang. Pemandangan indah dari feri itu indah. Apabila memandu dari Picton ke Anatoki Salmon, korang akan drive ke Takaka Hill.

13th September 2018

· 06:00pm - Arrive at Punakaiki Pancake Rocks & Blowholes

· 10:00pm - Rest at Grey River Overnight campsite

When driving from Te Waikoropupu Spring to Punakaiki Pancake Rocks & Blowholes, you will drive thru West Coast Scenic Drive. The road is also narrow and winding.

16th September 2018

· 08:00am - Drive to Milford Sound

· 01:00pm - Arrive at Milford Sound

· 02:45pm - Milford Sound Cruise

· 04:00pm - Drive back to Queenstown

· 10:00pm - Arrive at Queenstown. Clear waste and refill freshwater for Caravan

· 10:30pm - Drive to Twenty Five Mile Stream campsite

· 11:30pm - Rest at Twenty Five Mile Stream campsite

If you are going to Milford Sound, please check the road status. The road has a high risk of avalanche. If the weather is bad they will close the road. You can check the road condition at NZ Transport Agency Please note that the road to Milford Sound at Homer Tunnel has an opening time and closing time. I do not remember what is the opening time but the road will be close at 05:00pm sharp. If you are late, you will be stranded at Milford Sound. If you are taking Milford Sound Cruise at 02:45pm which is cheap and less crowded, when you board off from the cruise, straight away drive back to Queenstown.

17th September 2018

There was unexpected snowstorm that falls on Queenstown. We was stranded in between Glenorchy and Queenstown. It was so bad the road that heading to Queenstown was blocked by fallen trees and electrical pole lines. Some places of Queenstown has power outages.

We did not do anything today. We just wait for someone to clear the road because our flight from Queesntown to Auckland was at 3:40pm.

· 09:00am - Try to head back to Queenstown

· 10:00am - Wait at roadside hoping someone to clear the fallen trees

· 03:40pm - Missed our flight from Queenstown to Auckland and still waiting by the roadside

· 04:00pm - Drive to Glenorchy town and rest

18th September 2018

· 08:00am - Try again to go back to Queenstown

· 09:00am - Wait at the roadside near the fallen tree waiting for the municipal to clear it up.

· 02:00pm - The road was open temporarily for few hours. Head back to Queenstown

· 03:00pm - Lunch & rest at Queenstown

· 06:00pm - Buy chocolate at Pak'nSave
